Data controller
StayLingo operates staylingo.com and related services. Contact: privacy@staylingo.com.
What we collect
Account data (name, email, photo, phone), profile content (bio, photos, interests), booking history, messages, payment metadata (never card numbers — Stripe handles payment data), and technical data (IP, device, cookies).
How we use it
To operate the service, match guests with hosts, process payments, prevent fraud, improve product, and communicate with you about your account.
Legal basis
Contract performance (bookings), legitimate interest (fraud prevention), consent (marketing), legal obligation (tax, disputes).
Data sharing
With hosts/guests involved in your bookings, payment processor (Stripe), infrastructure providers (Google Firebase), and regulators where required by law.
Your rights
You may access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from Settings → Export / Delete (GDPR Art. 15 & 17 / KVKK 11).
Retention
Profile data is deleted on request. Booking records may be retained for up to 10 years for tax and dispute purposes.
International transfers
Data is processed in the EU and US. Standard Contractual Clauses are in place where applicable.
